AKC National Art Contest
About the event
The annual AKC National Art Contest, hosted by AKC Public Education, is now accepting submissions from young artists ages 5 to 17 who reside in the continental United States. This year’s theme, “Dogs on Vacation,” asks participants to imagine the ultimate canine getaway: Where would a dog go? What would they do? And what adventures might they have along the way?
Young artists can bring those ideas to life through drawing, painting, or mixed media.
Entries will be divided into four age categories and evaluated based on creativity, interpretation of the theme, and overall artistic quality. One winner and four finalists will be selected in each category.
Winning and finalist artwork will be featured in an online gallery on the AKC Education website. The winning pieces will also be displayed at the AKC Museum of the Dog in New York City as part of a special exhibit, giving these young…
