Click on the PDF above to read a real life Fieldplay Story - a solid profile of what Francie and Bob meant to so many . . .
Rob and I were blessed to meet Francie and Bob upon recommendation of Jack Johnson (Serendipity Setters). We were looking for an ES breeder and did not realize they lived virtually in our back yard. We met them before they moved to NH. Francie taught me everything about ES. Bob gave us a signed copy of Marsha Hall Brown’s, “The Essence of Setters.” They gifted us with four year old “Tia” - CH Mountainview Fieldplay’s Tia who was later bred to Fieldplay’s Marc Antony (Tony), during his week and win for the breed at Westminster, shown by his co-owner, Kendra Huber. We bought our “Ellie” from that litter and later owned our Jordy Jo - we then had Grandmother, Aunt and Granddaughter at one time. We have owned a total of nine ES since 2005 when Tia came to us. Every single one of them has lineage traced back to Fieldplay. Francie mentored me and to this day, I follow the grooming techniques she taught me. We last saw Francie (after Bob had passed) two years ago. We are sorry for her prolonged illness and glad she can rest in peace. No doubt she and Bob are surrounded by setters. Heaven for sure. God Bless all who loved her. Patty McBride
