ESCC at ESAA Nationals, 2026!
DAY ONE - ROAD TRIP!!!!
31 October 2026 - So, we met up at a Cracker Barrell in Tennessee, cared for all the setters and after a quick breakfast headed to our destination - Gray Summit, Missouri! There were a few stops along the way, one which was very exciting - Patty and Rob's very first trip to a Buc-ees! The gang was anxious to capture the big event.
We stopped in Clarksville, TN - walked and exercised the setters and then had to come up with a game plan for dinner. Since everyone was road weary, it seemed like a daunting task. Patty found a Mexican Restaurant .4 miles from our hotel, which seemed like a good option. We hopped into our trucks and headed there, pausing in the parking lot - the restaurant was connected to a Super 8 hotel - looks were furtively shot between the two cars. Jim, the gentleman and seasoned traveler that he is googled the restaurant and found it had 4.5 star rated with over 578 reviews. It didn't matter that we were the only other table there to be seated on arrival. VERY happily, the food was wonderful, the server excellent and the table banter was on fire (did the pitcher of top shelf margaritas contribute - we won't say). Day One was on the books and it was time to rest up for the remaining 5 hour drive in the morning.
