As you know, I have been contacting multiple businesses regarding donations and must admit to hitting a brick wall with most of them BUT in doing so, I have learned useful information that we can put to use right away for next year's show so I think that is a good thing.  There are a couple who said they would help and I will be following up with them.

I thought I would share a partial list of baskets that I am putting together.  These do not include groupings of the lovely things Jan donated.  Will indicate what I have and what I want to add to complete each idea.  

1.  "Fun" night basket: Have the AKC Best in Show board game, Best in Show DVD, Dog Opoly Board game (on order), ES wooden puzzle, Dog jigsaw puzzle

Want to add: Toys or game for dogs, Gourmet popcorn, pretzels, dog treats

2.  Margarita basket: Have Margarita pitcher with 4 glasses, Coordinating vase, Margarita mixer and salt; Tequila , gourmet salsa, gourmet nacho chips

3. "Celebrate your win!" Basket: Have ice bucket, champagne glasses, floral arrangement, champagne, picture frame

4. English.Setter Tapestry Blanket; Same one as last year!  Another chance to win it!

 Does anyone have a quilt rack or an idea to display it?

5. Framed English Setter metal artwork and vintage ES bud vase

6. Wine and cheese basket: Have wine,  vintage wine box, wine glasses, small cutting board

Want to add: Gourmet goodies and cheese

7. Whiskey basket: Have vintage ES glass whiskey decanter, whiskey

Want to add: dark chocolate, salami, gourmet crackers, nut mix

8, Shadow box

Want to add: Little crafty things to make it like a kit, small battery operated LED lights

In addition, the 40 lb dog food storage container is due to arrive tomorrow.  Started to purchase some of the milk bones to fill it up.   Want the small dog size.  

I wrote to milk bone company to try to get them donated but, crickets!  Will probably have to order them.  My Walmart only had one extra large box of the size I was looking for.

 My thought has been to top off the game with a gift certificate of some sort that anyone would appreciate. Unfortunately,  have had quite the "run in" of sorts with Chewy.  Long story.  But they really annoyed me!

Anyway, really would like something to make people want to guess the number of milk bones!   I am thinking $5  a guess? Separate from the regular raffle.

It occurred to me that if we dont get enough things to fill the wagon (am hoping that we do!) that we can put the milk bone game in it and wheel around for guesses! Actually, it just occurred to me that maybe the wagon itself can be the item that coordinates as the prize with the "guess how many milkbones" game!   

As I said, this is my partial list.  Will resend an update as I gather more things and also group Jan's donations.  Will need some things to complete those.  For example, there are coffee mugs.  I think it will be nice to add coffee and maybe cookies to those.

Marci Borelli texted me with a list of things she is bringing and I have a donation from another friend.  A shop owner from a small consignment shop was so sweet!  She donated a pretty framed print of a horse.  I didnt ask her to donate it, she just wanted to!  I figure we have horse people in the club!    What a nice lady!  I havent had feedback from anyone else.   It wouldnt hurt to send out another reminder to everyone sometime this week.
