Here is an update from Janet Coates (intriguees@gmail.com), who is working with the Reitz's on the raffle for our upcoming 5 DAY SPECIALTY event - July 8-12. [https://www.englishsetterclub.org/post/2026-escc-specialty-weekend-july-8-12]
"Jan Flaherty very kindly donated a TON of beautiful things. I am going through them, logging them down and putting together some groupings of things that look like they go together. In addition, she donated the Yeti cooler.  I will try to assemble baskets ahead of the show but in some cases, we might like to add something here or there to complete the baskets upon arrival.
I have contacted several businesses, big and small for donations including the dog food sponsor of the show. Have had a few positive responses and will be following through with them. Am waiting to hear from some others, fingers crossed!
Am working on several donations of my own which I will detail as they are completed.
Have ordered a 40 lb dog food container to fill with small milk bones for the separate "guess how many" game.  Contacted Chewy for a donated gift certificate to go with the milk bone prize. A representative is supposed to get in touch with me.  So, again fingers crossed!
I think it would be really helpful if you can send out a raffle reminder email to the club, both for raffle basket-type donations but also all sorts of things to fill up the wagon...36" crate, grooming table, crate pad, kennel cups, ring bag or tote, dryer, towels, slobber cloths, toys, crate fan, kennel lead, dog treats, grooming arm, grooming loop, dog shampoo, conditioner, a "muddy mat", handler treats...just about anything. Even if a person cannot donate a big item, something smaller will be fine!  The more stuff, the better! A couple big items would really make the wagon eye catching and desirable. It occurred to me that we could pull it around the grooming area a couple times a day to sell tickets! I know a lot of members bring donations directly to the show. Can ask them in the email to let us know ahead of time but otherwise we can log them in on site."
