URGENT: Requesting a nearby temporary foster starting May 31st for 2 weeks

Second request for Rose, a 10-year-old, 50 lb. female English Setter in Hartland, MI looking for a foster or foster to adopt home. She came into the rescue in August 2024 after a veterinarian office contacted the rescue when the owner dropped her and her sister off to be euthanized. She found a foster and was later adopted. Her adopter has a medical issue and needs to return Rose.

Rose is good with people, kids, and is always happy to meet other dogs. She is house, crate, and leash trained. She does pull on the leash but a short lead with a slip collar and/or gentle lead works well for her walks. She is higher energy and needs daily exercise. A 4-foot fence is fine, but she has attempted to dig under a few times so should be monitored. She has a high prey drive since she was bred for hunting, and she was used for breeding prior to rescue.

Rose is a very sweet, lovable dog that was neglected prior to rescue. We don’t believe she was physically mistreated since she shows no fear of strangers. She is very loving and affectionate and deserves a loving forever home.

Rose is up to date on vaccinations, tested, spayed, microchipped, and on heartworm preventative. No known health issues just taking Apoquel for allergies/itchy skin. Volunteer transport is available.
